Attachment: How to Separate Debris
Pelican Waste and Debris has returned to their normal garbage collection schedule. The City of Thibodaux asks residents for their help with debris separation to ensure a smooth cleanup. If you already have everything piled together and not separated, your debris will still be picked up, but going forward all debris should remain separated.
Please follow these guidelines:
- Household Waste: Place all household waste in your regular trash can.
- Vegetative Waste: Collect branches, leaves, and other plant debris in a separate pile.
- Construction/Home Debris: Separate construction materials and damaged household items into another distinct pile.
- Make sure each pile is clear of electrical lines, water meters, mailboxes, and fire hydrants. Your cooperation is crucial for a safe and efficient cleanup.

There will be NO CURFEW for the City Limits of Thibodaux tonight. With still a number of City of Thibodaux residents without power, you will continue to see a heavy presence of officers in your neighborhoods and throughout the city.
We ask that you continue to drive with caution as there is still low hanging wires throughout the city. If motorists can avoid taking to the roadway, we ask that you do so in attempt to allow Entergy and other Lineman Crews the ability to again work through the night on restoring power.
