The City of Thibodaux would like to advise motorists of an upcoming road closure on Jackson Street (LA 20), near St. Mary Street, due to necessary sewer line repairs near 521 Jackson Street. The road closure will take place from Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 6:00 AM to Sunday, November 8, 2026, at 6:00 PM.
During this time, Jackson Street will be closed to through traffic in both directions from LA Highway 1 to the Canal Boulevard (Roundabout). Detour routes and traffic control signage will be in place to assist motorists. All northbound and southbound heavy truck traffic will be forced to detour on Highway 643 (Percy Brown Road).
Officers with the Thibodaux Police Department will assist with traffic control at designated locations, including directing commercial truck traffic along approved detour routes.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow additional travel time, and use caution when approaching the affected area.
The City of Thibodaux appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as work to complete these necessary infrastructure repairs.
