To the Public: Come out on Monday Jan. 15th 2024 @ 11am and join the Lafourche Parish N.A.A.C.P , GROW Collaboration & Peaches Mini Mart in the Annual MLk Jr. March and Celebration . Theme for this year Event is ( Diversity ,We are Better and Stronger when we work Together ) Junior Youth 12 years old and under can participate in a one page Essay Contest Titled (The Reason We Celebrate Dr. King). The top 3 Essay’s will be awarded. 1st Place $100, 2nd Place $75 & 3rd Place $50. All Essays must be turned in day before the Event @ Peaches Mini Mart Store located at 1001 Plantation Rd. Thibodaux . Celebration will consist of Prayers of Thanks ,Poetry ,Praise Singing , Praise Dancing , Motivational Speeches for the Youth and More. March will begin immediately after Celebration. From MLK JR. Park to the St. Luke Community Center located @ 300 East 11th Street , Thibodaux . Refreshments with be served @ St Luke Center. Anyone need a ride back to the Park to get your Vehicle .
