The Thibodaux Police Department sponsored a one-day trip to the Louisiana State Penitentiary, located in Angola, La. on Friday, June 25.  This is an educational trip, which is being provided at no cost to the parent, and or guardian.  Mayor Charles Caillouet arrived at 5:30 a.m. to help Sgt. Calvin Cooks and to greet all of the children as they arrived.  The bus departed at 6:00 a.m. and will return no later than 6:00 p.m. the same day.  Thibodaux High School, East Thibodaux Middle School, West Thibodaux Middle School, and South Thibodaux Elementary School participated in the event.
