ART'S ALIVE!On Thursday, April 15, Thibodaux Main Street in conjunction with Nicholls Jubilee and the Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce will feature "Art's Alive," an art show and reception with local artists and musicians. Chamber After Hours Business Card Exchange cosponsored by Shaver Robichaux Insurance and the Lorio Foundation. 507 West Third Street from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The artists will display and sell their work outside in the downtown area. Thibodaux Parks Department is now accepting applications for summer employment. This is for the positions of Groundskeeper. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and be responsible. Applications accepted at the Parks office in Peltier Park Recreation Center (Mon. - Fri. 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.) until April 23, 2004.

Positions available are: Scorekeepers & Umpires; Arts & Crafts Workers; Camp Counselors; and Lifeguards (Red Cross Certified.) Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and be responsible. Applications accepted at the office in Peltier Parke Recreation Center (Mon. - Fri. 8:00 a.m. - NOON & 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.) until April 23, 2004. Other positions available: Aerobic Instructor; Camp Director; and Municipal Pool Director.
If you are 55 years plus you qualify to take classes at Nicholls State University through Generations Teaching Generations. An example of some of the classes are: Gardening, Computer, GED Preparation, Bible Study, Music, Exercise, Cooking, Woodworking, Quilting, Painting, and much more. These two-hour-long classes will be scheduled one day per week and will be offered from 9-11 A.M. or 1-3 P.M.
