SENIOR MAYOR FOR A DAY:
Our Senior Mayor for a Day, Mrs. Genela Naquin was nominated by Duane Bland of Thibodaux Family Church.  Mayor Naquin arrived promptly at 8:30 a.m. and was accompanied by her family, of which Eustace Breaux (her nephew) immediately began to take professional pictures for their scrapbook.  Soon after she arrived, Mayor Naquin was thrilled when flowers were delivered to her ‘new’ office.  Mayor Caillouet and Mayor Naquin then held a staff meeting in their office and took tours of City Hall and city projects.  They both ended their day together, along with friends and family, with lunch at Western Sizzlin.  (Courtesy of Sam Cashio of Western Sizzlin.)

LINDA RUMORE - POLICE DEPARTMENT RECORDS DIVISION:
Excerpts from a letter addressed to Chief Howard Robertson of the Thibodaux Police Department:

Dear Chief Robertson:

I would like to take this opportunity to commend you on the great job that you and your staff are doing in the Thibodaux area.  As a teacher and parent, I know the trials that we face with our youth and the temptations of drugs and alcohol.

I have had the pleasure of working with Ms. Linda Rumore on a personal basis regarding these matters involving my own children; and I would like to state for the record that Ms. Rumore is one of the most professional, hard-working, and caring individuals I have ever known that she must truly be an asset to your department.

It is my hope that this letter may become a part of her personnel file so that all those involved with Ms. Rumore may be made aware of her impeccable work ethic and tremendous rapport with the community.
