Re: Good Samaritan
Last Saturday I lost my debit card without knowing. Thankfully, it was found by Sylvia Durocher who is a city employee. Sylvia cleans the streets in the downtown area. I would very much like to acknowledge her because too often great people are overlooked. She took it upon herself to call every Falgout in the Thibodaux phone book in order to return the card to me. I am so appreciative of her efforts. I offered her money as a reward and she refused to accept anything. Since this experience I have shared this story with many people who also had similar experiences in which Sylvia has found and returned money, credit cards, etc. to the rightful owners. She needs to be commended for going above and beyond her duties. I am so proud to live in a community where people are honest and caring. I wanted to share this letter with Sylvia’s superior as well as with our mayor. Thanks so much.
Sincerely, Aprel Falgout
