NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BOARD  OF  ADJUSTMENTS  MEETING
THIBODAUX,  LOUISIANA
Wednesday, May 26, 2004

The Board of Adjustments will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at 5:30 P.M. at 310 West 2nd Street in the City Council Meeting Room (upstairs City Hall Building), Thibodaux, Louisiana, concerning the following:

OLD BUSINESS:
NEW BUSINESS:

Item 1:  To consider a request by Thomas and Audrey Porche to vary 4’9” from 5’ side yard setback requirement in order to construct aluminum carport cover at 507 Arms Street (R-3 District).

Item 2:  To consider a request by South Thibodaux Elementary School to install 4’ x 8’ reader board monument sign at 200 Iris Street (R-3 District).

Item 3:  To consider a request by Patrick and Melissa Thibodeaux to vary 8’ from rear yard setback requirement of 10’ in order to construct 50’ x 30’ metal storage building at 307 Talbot Avenue (R-2 District).

Item 4:   To consider a request by Charlie Toups to vary from the minimum front yard width requirement of 60’ to 40’ and to vary from the minimum lot size requirement of 6,000 sq. ft. to 4,800 sq. ft. in order to re-divide four existing lots into three lots adjacent to 1103 Caroline Avenue (R-2  District).

Item 5:  To consider a request by Acadia Land Surveying on behalf of Habitat for Humanity to vary from the front and rear yard setback requirements to 5’ and vary from the minimum lot size of 6,000 sq. ft. to 3,800 sq. ft. in order to re-divide property on Washington Street (R-2 District).

Item 6:  To consider a request by Murray Sign, Inc. on behalf of Community Loans of America to erect a 7’ x 30’ building sign and a 5’ x 25’ building sign on existing sign cabinets located at 604 St. Mary Street (C-2 District).

Item 7:  To consider a request by University Baptist Church to erect a 4’ x 8’ internally illuminated reader board sign on premises located at 902 Menard Street (R-2 District).
