The
Department of Public Works provides
numerous services to the community,
primarily through the construction and
maintenance of the infrastructure of the
City. The Department is responsible for
Streets, Drainage, Natural Gas
Distribution, Water Production and
Distribution, Sewage Collection and
Disposal, Street lighting, Building
Permits and Inspection, Airport
Maintenance, Coordination of the
Planning and Zoning Commission and the
Board of Adjustments.
The hours of
operation for the Department of Public
Works are from 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Monday - Friday. Personnel are on-call
for utility emergency 24 hours a day, 7
days a week by calling Thibodaux Police
Department.
