 DRAINAGE DIVISION:
A drainage division has been created within the Department of Public Works.  This division consists of the following employees:  Dale Benoit, Earl Himel, Joseph Mahler and Gerard Talbot.  These persons were selected to this division primarily because they have the expertise and the skills to operate the various equipment that is required to perform the necessary functions, which are the focus of the division.  Miguel Maggio supervises the activities and oversees the inventory of the drainage structures.

The Drainage division is responsible for clearing, grubbing and excavating all open ditches within the city as required.  They are also responsible for the installation and cleaning of subsurface drainage structures and catch basins throughout the city.  They are also responsible for the grass cutting and flora control of drainage structures within the city.

Under Mr. Maggio’s direction and supervision, they are able to utilize other members of the Department staff or contractors to assist them during periods of emergency or when city equipment and/or dedicated personnel are inadequate to perform the tasks necessary.
