87 cts of Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card
Back on September 14, 2005, an employee of a local fast food restaurant located on north Canal Boulevard was fired. An internal investigation also discovered that the terminated employee, Keidra Jackson, B/F; DOB 7/16/82 of 1204 Plantation Road in Thibodaux) had been making unauthorized charges on customers using their credit cards.
Managers of the local restaurant explain to Thibodaux Police Department Detectives how the charges were made. They explained, while Jackson worked the drive-thru, she would take the customerís credit card and charge them for their purchase. Before Jackson handed the card back, she would scan the credit card a second time, opening another transaction. With that transaction open, Jackson would charge the next customerís order to the previous customerís credit card. When the customerís paid, Jackson would pocket the cash. Therefore, the restaurant did not show any loss. With the charges being for only a few dollars, the victims were less likely to notice the extra charges on their credit card statement.
Jacksonís employment began on September 1, 2005 and ended on September 14, 2005. During her short employment, a total of 130 unauthorized charges were found on 87 different credit card numbers.
Thibodaux Police Detectives obtained a warrant for Jacksonís arrest for the 87 counts of ďUnauthorized Use of an Access CardĒ with a bond in the amount of $2,500.00. Anyone with information regarding Keidra Jacksonís location is asked to call the Thibodaux Police Department at (985) 446-5021 or (985) 446-7281.
