After conducting a lengthy investigation, narcotic detectives of the Thibodaux Police Departmentís Bureau of Narcotics conducted a search of a home located at 1261 St. Charles Street.
Upon arrival at the home, detectives immediately saw Earl Thompson Jr., Age 27 of Thibodaux, running to the front door of the home. While running, detectives did see Mr. Thompson throw two items to the ground. The first item was a small plastic bag containing suspected crack cocaine with a weight of 6.7 grams. Also thrown by Mr. Thompson was a small bag of suspected marijuana weighing 3.6 grams.
Once inside the home, detectives found 1.8 grams of suspected marijuana in the pocket of a male juvenile.
Also found in the home was one small bag of suspected marijuana and small amounts of suspected marijuana in the form of partially burnt marijuana cigarettes.
Two more arrests were also made at the home. Sandra Campbell, Age 46 of Thibodaux, was arrested for possession of marijuana and improper supervision of a juvenile. Ms. Campbell later posted bond of $750.00. Lois Swing, Age 52 of Thibodaux, was issued a misdemeanor summons for simple possession of marijuana and later released.
Mr. Thompson was transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center with a bond of $5000.00. He was booked on the charges of possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine and possession of marijuana.
The male juvenile was booked with possession of marijuana and transported to the Juvenile Justice Facility.
