During the evening hours of February 16, 2003 Officer John Sutton Jr. of the Thibodaux Police Department responded to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center for the report of a disturbance that occurred at another location.
Officer Sutton then met with Patrick Price, Age 50 of 813 Parish Road in Thibodaux, who stated that he was involved in a disturbance at his home.
Officer Sutton then followed Mr. Price to his home where during the course of the investigation he began to smell what he believed the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Mr. Price.
Officer Sutton then preformed a series of standardized field sobriety tests. With this, Mr. Price was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. Mr. Price was then transported to Thibodaux Police where he was issued a chemical test for alcohol with the results being .201g% BAC (Blood Alcohol Content). Mr. Price was then booked with 2nd Offense DWI. Mr. Price later posted a bond of $1000.00.
