THIBODAUXCOMPETES IN STATE CLEANEST CITY COMPETITION

 

           Due to all of the effort from the City of Thibodaux and the ThibodauxGarden Club, Thibodaux competed and won the Cleanest City Contest District IIItitle against Morgan City on Wednesday, April 17th. Thibodaux will now compete against other District III winners in theState Cleanest City Contest on Wednesday, May 1, 2002. The judges are scheduled to arrive in Thibodaux at 9:00 a.m. 

 

The designated route is: Canal Blvd.; 2nd St.; GreenStreet; 5th St.; 7th St.; Bayou Lane; St Joseph Nursing Home;Thibodaux Regional, Audubon Ave.; Rienzi Dr.; and LA 1 from Nicholls State toSt. Joseph Cemetery.

 

           Mayor Charles Caillouet stated, “It was an honor to win the DistrictIII title and we look forward to competing and winning the state title.” The Mayor also stated, “All residents and businesses along the routeshould cut and clean their property as well as beautify their location. It will take a cooperative effort to win at this level.”
