PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION
The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public
hearing onWednesday,November 12,
2003 at 6:00 P.M. at 310 West 2nd Street in the City Council Meeting
Room (2nd story City Hall building), Thibodaux,
Louisiana, concerning the following:
request by Acadia Land Surveying, LLC on behalf of J.B. Levert Land
Company, Inc. for preliminary plat approval for resubdivision of a
1.31 acre lease lot to be located on the North side of Glenwild
Drive at the intersection of LA 20, located in Section 44, T14S -
R16E City of Thibodaux, Lafourche Parish, Louisiana.
Toconsider a request by Duplantis Design Group on behalf of J.B.
Levert Land Company, Inc. for approval of proposed utility
improvement extensions to facilitate the 1.31 acre lease lot located
on the North side of Glenwild Drive at the intersection ofLA 20.
consider a request by Acadia Land Surveying, LLC on behalf of J. B.
Levert Land Company, Inc. for final plat approval of a .505 acre lot
for the City of Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department located in
Section 114, T14S – R16E, City of Thibodaux, Lafourche Parish,
consider a request by Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce for Planning and
Zoning Commission review of Chamber of Commerce Resolution
requesting revisions to current sign ordinance as follows:
2002.1(c)The above-mentioned signs shall be set on a block type base not
less than one (1) foot in height, nor more than three (3) feet in
height.The overall height
of the monument sign shall not exceed six (6) feet.(ADD:Should a center be comprised of multiple businesses in excess of
four (4), then the height shall be allowed to be increased as follows:
– six occupants nine
seven or more occupants twelve (12) feet
2005.2(5)Maximum number of signs.Only one ground sign and one wall, mansard, marquee or canopy,
shall be allowed for each premises; except that on corner and double
frontage lots, two (2) ground signs are allowed, provided that premises
with more than one street frontage may utilize up to the maximum sign
surface allowed for each frontage, but no transfers of allowable area
may be made from one frontage to another.
TO:Only one ground sign is allowed except that on corner and double
frontage lots two (2) ground signs are allowed.One wall, mansard or canopy sign shall be allowed on each
available front, side and rear of each premises.
Marquee and canopy signs. Signs or sign structures located on a
marquee or canopy shall be affixed flat to the surface and shall not be
greater than two(2) feet in vertical dimension and shall not extend
beyond the marquee or canopy.
TO:Signs or sign structures located on a marquee or canopy shall be
affixed flat to the surface and shall not extend beyond the marquee or
other matters properly brought before the Commission.
